Run as a competition in 2019 this winning BDP submission was a creative solution to the re-use of an old local authority leisure centre sports hall. The client was Watergrove Trust so the concept was dubbed ‘WaterSHED’ and features a series of modular units constructed solely using natural materials. This project was an opportunity for younger staff to take a lead on delivering a smaller project; this gave the opportunity for them to experience the management and client liaison side of the project. My role was to mentor and provide technical knowledge; my involvement is evident in the resolution and detailing of the project.
